Terms of Service in Alaska
What Our Pest Control Work Covers
Last updated: October 2026
These terms apply to standard pest control services provided by Alaska Pest Pros, including treatments for ants, spiders, wasps, cockroaches, rodents, bed bugs, and related inspection work. Any service outside a signed agreement such as bat exclusion, bird control, or squirrel removal governed by Alaska wildlife take rules requires a separate written scope before work begins.
All pesticide use follows FIFRA requirements: products are applied strictly according to EPA-approved labels, which also govern reentry intervals. Our applicators hold licenses under Alaska law (AS 46.03.320) and follow state pesticide regulations at 18 AAC 90. Safety documentation is handled in line with the OSHA Hazard Communication Standard (29 CFR 1910.1200).
Some wildlife work may require coordination with the Alaska Department of Fish and Game or the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation. Bird species protected under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act are handled only through lawful, non-lethal methods.
Booking, Rescheduling, and Cancellation Rules
Appointments are scheduled by phone or email and confirmed in advance. We ask for at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or move an appointment, so we can offer the time to another customer. Repeated late cancellations may affect priority scheduling.
Weather can be a factor in Alaska. If a storm, extreme cold, or unsafe travel conditions prevent a visit, we will contact you to reschedule as soon as possible at no extra cost.
If our technician finds a problem that goes beyond the agreed scope for example, a larger infestation or wildlife entry points we will explain the situation, pause the work, and wait for your written or verbal approval before continuing. You are never charged for work you did not approve. Please make sure an adult is available at the property and that pets and access areas are prepared before we arrive.
Quotes, Pricing, and When Payment Is Due
We provide written estimates before starting any job. The estimate is based on the property details and pest conditions observed or described at the time it is prepared. An estimate is valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise, since conditions and material costs can change.
Payment is due when service is completed unless you have arranged a different schedule in a signed service plan. For multi-visit treatments, payment terms will be listed in your agreement. We accept common payment methods and will provide a receipt for every job.
If the scope changes for instance, we discover a secondary infestation during treatment we will provide an updated estimate and get your approval before doing the additional work. No hidden charges are added after the fact. If you have questions about an invoice, contact us and we will review it with you line by line.
Our Workmanship Warranty
Alaska Pest Pros stands behind the quality of our work. If treated pests return within the follow-up period stated in your service agreement, we will re-treat the affected areas at no additional charge. The specific duration of coverage depends on the pest and treatment type and will be written into your estimate or service plan.
The warranty covers our workmanship and proper product application. It does not cover new infestations introduced after our visit, untreated areas of the property, structural conditions that allow pests to re-enter, or sanitation issues that attract pests. Failure to follow our preparation and prevention instructions such as sealing gaps or removing food sources we identify can void coverage for related problems.
To make a warranty claim, call us and we will schedule an inspection. If the issue falls under the warranty, the return visit is free.
Limits on Our Liability
Our responsibility for any claim connected to our services is limited to the amount you paid for the service in question. We are not liable for pre-existing damage, hidden conditions at the property, or losses caused by factors outside our control.
All pesticide applications are performed according to EPA-approved product labels, which govern both application and reentry requirements. Our technicians are licensed under AS 46.03.320 and work within Alaska pesticide regulations (18 AAC 90). We are not responsible for problems arising from the customer’s failure to follow label-based reentry instructions or our written safety guidance.
Wildlife work involving bats, squirrels, or protected birds follows Alaska Department of Fish and Game rules and the Migratory Bird Treaty Act; outcomes dependent on wildlife behavior or regulatory restrictions may be outside our control. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Alaska law.
